Now that I've seen behind the veil I can't view human beings as anything but mechanisms or animals. I will never love anybody.

Anyone here read pic related? Am I just an idiot for feeling like its hard to read? Im halfway through and on nearly every page Ive had to use a dictionary on like 3-4 words per page. At times his diction makes me have to read a portion several times to understand it better.

Currently in a bad mood so if I'm going to read this it's probably now or never. Should I do so even if to just wallow in misery untill I'm better?

Wonderful book bit that's one shitty cover, anon. Sometimes I wish I could unread that, Manufacturing Consent, You Are Being Lied To, and Culture of Critique. Really hard to ever go back to looking at the world the same way again after those.

Of course Ligotti pretty much renders the rest of them (and everything else) redundant. His short fiction is wonderful as well, but this will be remembered long after everyone reading this is dead.
