So if on the one hand you're getting something you want, but not really having anything to give, or on the other hand giving yourself something (hedonistic stimpaks) but you *know* this is wrong...right?

Keep going through hell perhaps. If you don't have to pull the trigger don't pull it. Try some Heideggerian jiujitsu. Wait for The Thing to reveal itself. Give some of your impulses a che vuoi. Be vain, seductive, and French. Seems to work for them.
