>You admit yourself that you are not the true and ancient hierarchical church of Jesus Christ
You say that about us.
>n the early centuries, which believed things like the real presence in the Eucharist, baptismal regeneration, veneration of icons, communion of saints, etc.
Moses was gone for five minutes before the Israelites started worshiping a golden calf.
> so why anyone would take you seriously, I do not understand.
That much lauded massive Ante-Nicene, Nicene, Post-Nicene Fathers set you all love so much was translated by a Protestant.
Protestants revived Patristics.
>Especially as your denomination is only one among tens of thousands.
Tens of thousands of denominations that all agree the Roman Church is not the One True Church™. Tens of thousands of denominations that will witness against it at the last day.
>Have you ever just read the contents of an early Church council
We've seen how some of them have erred or contradicted earlier councils.
>pure faith of the early Christians, guided by the Holy Spirit?
Proof?

>Sorry, but consider repenting of your heresy and becoming more acquainted with the ancient church's beliefs.
I can guarantee that 99% of the ECF writings you've read were translated by a Protestant. See Phillip Schaff. We're very well acquainted.

As far as that site you linked earlier all I have to say is anyone can quote mine the ECF. There opinions were extremely diverse and many of them even contradict themselves.

Any Historian here?

I've just found out about Philip Schaff's History Of The Christian Church, which according to Goodreads mount up to about 7,000 pages in total.

I want to know how trustworthy it is before venturing into it. He wrote it on the 19th century and was a protestant himself so it may be filled with outdated data, pro-Christian or pro-Protestant views, etc. Someone here warned me about errors on Will Durant's History of Civilization and now I'm extra cautious while reading it. Just want to know how the history community feels about Schaff on that sense.
