>I like bad dad books!
Me too, I'm going to read your article; it seems interesting. The first chapter of my book is called Rotten Families. At the beginning I had the idea of writing two different books, one being "Rotten Families", that is about two intertwinned families that are extremely dysfunctional, the first one being an upper middle-class jewish family composed of two parents that work as titular professors in Columbia University and their three sons. The second family, that will become intertwined with the first is an Irish WASP family that has a daughter that dates one of boys of the first family, and this male character she dates goes up to murder his own father due to a complex Oediups Complex that makes him absolutely detest him after he finds out some things, but he's never found out for his crime. Either way, dealing with the guilt is absolutely terrible to him and I wanted to further develop that, but I sort of quit the project and now I'm focusing solely on my other book, which I've written about 500 hundred pages so far, and in honor of that book's idea that has unfortunately not come to full fruition yet, I renamed the first chapter "Rotten Families", but the dad in the novel also is rotten inside and out so it fits anyway.

AMA.
