If it were possible to learn by consulting a book everyone would do it, but alas it isn’t. Learning requires patience and tenacity. You must manage your time and do your due diligence. Most people (that is to say more than 99% of people who have ever or will ever attempt to learn something that isn’t necessary for their survival) will give up after a short while, when boredom or frustration set in or when their more pertinent duties begin to hang over their heads a bit more noticeably. The chasm between being an intermediate at a skill and becoming advanced at a skill cannot be overstated. Tl;dr: you’ll grow out of your experimentation phase eventually and refocus the last of your youthful energy on what must be done to ensure your survival.
