I actually like to read what anons write and to be frank, Gardner isn’t THAT bad. Most certainly not my cup of tea, but the prose is shit, but the story isn’t any worse than some of the Stephan king stuff. I’m reading pic related now because it’s also being shilled here by some Canadian, and I like a whole ton better. It’s simple but not poorly chopped together like the call series’ sentences and structure. Definitely recommend it if you like supporting anons.

So, y'know how your English teacher always told you to find meaning in the book through analysing the text and drawing out the symbolism and such.
I always got top marks in class for doing that because once you know basic English canon metaphor and basic colour theory you can pull apart anything like that successfully.
Same goes for sounding smart in an art gallery or complementing girls.
It sounds good, but I always thought it was actually utter bullshit, and that you can't possibility know that "the author's depressed and that's why he said the curtains are blue and the sky's grey" or whatever.
But then I got really bored over christmas break from uni and decided to sit down and write down a novella based on an idea I've been holding onto since highschool and, looking back over it two weeks later - wow, I was unironiclly projecting SO HARD which I actually missed as I was writing it because I thought it was just gonna be a basic fiction and then a whole heap of my worldview accidentially leaked out at some point in the writing process.

Anyway. read it is you want and you tell me what you think. it's self-published and free with Kindle Unlimited, whatever that is
