So I recently read Alice in Wonderland.

Is it me, or is this story completely batshit? It wanders all over the place with all this random-ass filler.

Still a contender for my favourite book today, dozens of re-readings later.

>go to library to rent Alice in Wonderland book
>use computer to see where it is
>lists it in the "adult non-fiction" section
>non-fiction
>surely it's a mistake, but check there anyway for shits 'n giggles
>it's there
>right next to it are tons of Sherlock Holmes books

Well, okay, since this is evidently based on a true-story I will keep that in mind when I start reading it later.

Yes, Alice.

And most little girls in anything.

Backstory:
>A few weeks back, I posted a thread here on pursuing a Marxist critique of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. A good anon helped me develop a proposal. I thanked him.
>My professor hated it.
>ANON, YOU SHOULD WRITE ABOUT THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PHENOMENA OF DREAMS IN THE VICTORIAN PERIOD IN A FREUDIAN CONTEXT IN RELATION TO ALICE'S ADVENTURES
>okay.jpeg

So, I've read Alice three-ways to Sunday, and now I need to get into the Freudian aspects. I have acquired On Dreams, Dream Psychology, and the Interpretation of Dreams. This presentation is due in eight days. I also have roughly 10 secondary-sources--4 books, 4 articles, 2 academic websites. I am on spring break, thankfully. I could acquire more sources.

My partner is not intent on helping me. I also have the actual media for the presentation to do as well. Am I being too ambitious?

I am ready to bust my ass and swallow my pride by asking /lit/erati for help. Where do I start? It seems insurmountable, and I am also perniciously unfamiliar with Freud; however, I want to do well. Freud's works count as primary sources, so I will definitely continue my reading with his works. To understand his concept of dreams, should I read all three? Which one is most seminal? Which one has most utility? Which one should I read first? Dream Psych.? On dreams? Interp of Dreams?

The house is stacked against me, and I am doing work meant for two people with no assistance. Please help me.

Greetings /lit/ertai. I need help...

My luck failed and I had to take a British Literature Survey my last semester in college. I also have to make a presentation on Alice in Wonderland. I want to present on the persistence of Lewis Carroll's Alice in contemporary music and drug culture.

How might I pitch this so that my professor would be receptive? i.e. Is my presentation concerned with reception theory? New Historicism? Materialism?

I mean what kind of literary theorist or critic would concern themselves with the adaptation and/or persistence of a story in different media as well cultural or material concerns associated with that work?

Any help is sincerely appreciated!
