/lit/ - Literature

I'm trying to read Aristotle's metaphysics but it's so god damn esoteric that I'm pretty sure I'm losing out on a lot of the book through unfamiliarity with the text. Is there some book /lit/ would recommend as an introductory text to the subject matter? Preferably one i can grab cheap on abebooks uk.

Also one on theology would be useful as the two seem joined at the hip and I'm looking to read the summa next.

So I just finished augustine (working my way up from the greeks) and I was considering starting with this beast.

Summa Theologica

Sup /lit/

I was thinking of buying one of Aquinas' Summa Theologica books. Should I buy:

The 15000 page version of 2300$
The 6 volume version of 220$
Or newly translated version of 40$?

Also, what version did you read?
