Why do so many philosophers despise modernity? Are there any that embrace it?

>Why should the working class, the proletariat, be doomed to smell like BO?
Because your presupposition that not smelling like BO is the natural state. It is not. A crow asks not for the bread of your table. It finds its own food, its own home. A man should do the same. The problem is there are too many crows in our gardens. So we create better ways to get food, to build homes, with the sweat of your brow and the breaking of your back. The same thing that is wrong with expecting that the proletariat should be given for free that which they did not work is the same thing that is wrong with giving the shareholder the fruits of labour that he did not endure. It is a dissociation from the work in to the product out and the theft of fractions along the way. Only once localities have full control of their labour, only once foreign boot lickers cease to be allowed to crush foreign proletariat beneath their heels and the self sufficiency of the technologies we have created catch up with the inefficient global trade network, will the wrongs be righted.
