I don't really know, studying at university involves a lot of autodidacticism in my opinion. With the internet it has been gotten kind of easy to research what future skills you would need for certain jobs for example. Getting a proper work discipline is more difficult, I haven't found a solution for me. People push their meme books like deep work but I have solved these problems some time age und that hasn't solved the fundamental problem. Many people need people to learn stuff with them and you either have to find such people (nearby) or get it done alone.

It used to be much better ten years ago, it was excellent for socialising, making friends, partners etc. It sold itself on the promise of sex and friendships for life. I went back to university and it has shifted a lot, all that pc bullshit has made a big difference. Corona has eliminated the leftovers of that.

Why do some people here have to much disdain for the Malazan Series?

After reading a lot of the trash you guys recommend, it was one of the very few series I've actually enjoyed.

i've been thinking about conducting a social experiment of sorts. it requires one male and one female author.
the experiment is this: the male will write a short story about an androphobe (someone who fears men) and the female will write a short story about a gynophobe (the opposite).
Is this a good idea, and what might the results be?
