I heard in some podcast that Jack London used to just copy out Kipling's works by hand for hours on end until he got better. Apparently RL Stevenson and a bunch of others did this too, and it is said to have improved their writing. Is this a legit method or were they just brainlets? Anyone done this before?

Funny how you post this op, because I came across an article from earlier this year which stated that the classics dept at Oxford wants to do away with Homer and Virgil.
