I heard in some podcast that Jack London used to just copy out Kipling's works by hand for hours on end until he got better. Apparently RL Stevenson and a bunch of others did this too, and it is said to have improved their writing. Is this a legit method or were they just brainlets? Anyone done this before?

Funny how you post this op, because I came across an article from earlier this year which stated that the classics dept at Oxford wants to do away with Homer and Virgil.

>The Mods course, which is assessed by a set of ten exams at the end of Hilary, has been increasingly criticised in recent years, due to the attainment gaps found between male and female candidates, as well as between candidates who have studied Latin and/or Greek to A-Level (Course I) and those who have not (Course II).
