Hi, black anon here.

Has anyone here read Waking Fire by Anthony Ryan? I found a passage in the book that describes Claydons face as dark ("Here almost every face was as dark as his own"), it is also implied that he is not one of the northern people who have pale skin and blue eyes.
Is Claydon black or just middle eastern type? It's very rare for a white folk to include black people as their main characters.
