The Odyssey
Feeling and enjoyment is slowly seeping from me as I stay in this city. I hit the part of the Odyssey where he meets his dog Argos and it hit me hard. 3 of my friends have tried to commit suicide in the past month. I have no future and no reason to live yet I do. I have no creativity and feel less human for it. I will die alone. The things and people I love don't love me. The things I love and find beautiful will neither feel similarly or be within my reach. The Odyssey is superb but I feel like The Iliad is more important, the lessons The Iliad taught me have kept me alive a little longer. Reading is becoming more and more exhausting/tiring by the day. I don't know how I'll make it through the next year or if I even will.
