made me realize there's a half dranken gatorade on the ground too, nice

if anyones wondering why I live like this, as if anyones wondering that and isn't just gawking and laughing, which I don't mind, I have self awareness
>used to be a smart, somewhat clean kid
>bullying started getting real bad
>turned to drugs to cope with home and school life
>family schizophrenia said "lol fuck you and fuck your drugs"
>no more school, stuck at home or the mental ward for 4 years, all 4 years of high school
>life fell apart
>trash started piling up
>mother also becomes a hoarder, so entire house is much of the same as my room
>make a recovery from psychosis
>habits dont make a recovery
>occasionally look around, pick up a store bag, throw some things out
>occasionally go all out and clean everything
>started making strides in forming a habit of cleaning
>mother becomes alcoholic and makes me homeless
>homeless for 3 months before she calls and apologizes, becomes sober
>no longer give enough of a fuck to clean
>no longer have any trust in anyone
>stuck living with the same mother who told me how much she hates me, how I'm a mistake, how she wishes I was dead, how she wishes she was dead, but now she claims she doesn't believe any of it
>to add on, their rent started splitting utilities
>every single time I shower, roughly once a month, my step father immediately starts complaining about the water bill, if I take any longer than 15 minutes (there is no possible way to get the smell off and all of the dead skin off in that time period) he immediately complains about the water bill, claims he's going to make me pay it this time (6$)
>can't get a job because of schizophrenia and ptsd
>have been turned down for disability 3 times
>sit here, surrounded by trash, smelling like the obese kid after gym class, with no money, little work history, a death wish, and homicidal ideation

Well, let's just say there's a reason Shelley is remembered as a great poet, and Smith is remembered as the guy who competed with Shelley.

I bought Mien Kampf from the bookshop and felt a bit awkward handing it to the cashier. But hey, they wouldn't be selling it if they didn't want people to buy it.

Yuval's stuff isn't terrible and that is contemporary. Graeber's books as well. I've read some decent pop-history too. All of them are/were pretty popular. Kissinger's "world order" and "on china" both recent. If the want more substantive non-fiction, there are still modern-classics being being published in various fields by academic presses. As for your local library, i can't comment. But i don't think non-fiction is dying or even in a poor state.

Moral language is truth apt and seeks to denote real moral facts about the world. However, there are no moral facts for our sentences to obtain. Thus, when we talk about morals, it is not that we are spouting meaningless nonsense, but that we are simply in error.

I don't know why you would be interested in reading a pattern-based imterpolation (imitative interpolation) of an author. There is no intention behind what is generated, it isn't observations or conclusions drawn from an investigation with the world, it isn't 'thought' in any sense that we would understand it. That is, it isn't any of the reasons we read these authors in the first place. You wouldn't be 'bringing Nietzsche back', you would just be performing—at best—an elaborate imitatio, but lacking the pedagogical value that such an exercise is meant to achieve. So really it would just be pointless.
You can find most of his works in .txt format on Gutenberg, if you want to create your wax sculpture of Nietzsche. But don't imagine it contains anything but his likeness.

Pseuds here will frantically type out essays about the infantilization of modern man in an age of decadence, or the false rebellion of quasi-irreverence in the cultural zeitgeist of late capitalism, or some other over-determined drivel. But the truth is, one book in the preexisting self-help genre (the subtle art of not giving a fuck) was popular and spawned a bunch of imitators trying to cash in on the trend. That's it.

If people want to organise on 4chan they tend to need a strong reason to. For most, that strong reason is a delusional attempt to further some dead-end political goal.
