You say that as though Tolkien cooked up children's books for a fat paycheck, that Lovecraft didn't write his best fiction for love of the craft of suspense. Even then, do you really think that the hacks they hire to write about how cool, sexy and totally deserving of your money their streamers are will have one hundredth of the passion that REH had for Conan or Texas, stories he wrote for a paycheck? I expect as much effort as a Neil Gaiman introduction to some fantasy novel re-release.
