Hi /lit/! I only have one friend IRL that is an avid reader and he refuses to read anything other than americana. Is there anyway I can get him to broaden his horizons so that we may hold conversations on something other than the same mundane shit? I don't know if this helps but his favorite author is Richard Russo. Also, what's so great about Russo?

understatement of the year.

I've always viewed Socrates like Jesus from the Bible.
-He never wrote anything by himself. Others wrote about him.
-He had a group of followers that was considered controversial during its time.
-They came from the working class (Stone mason and carpenter).
- They both willingly set themselves up for their own execution.
- Their ideas, if false or not, have influenced western thinking ever since their time.
- Both were refered to as ''teacher''.

> Chris-chan and Ignatius believe their written work/artwork to be important and ground-breaking.

> Both Chris-chan and Ignatius share a trait in sloth.

> They both are unemployable and over-weight.

> Both has strange sexual fantasies.

> Both wear particular clothes that they believe are in harmony with each other.

> Both live like slobs.

> Both write better than they speak.

> Both are in the older-age range and live with their respective parents.

> Ignatius and Chris-chan often say offensive and racist things without really knowing it.

But, it is your opinion and you are free to disagree. Do you think, however, that it is possible that Ignatius was autistic?

But author intent doesn't matter.
