>Or is this you spiraling about missed opportunities and trying to justify giving up on life?
Yeah it's just a way to justify being an unhappy loser that absolves himself of all blame. A staple for modern men, especially on 4chan. I bet the Jews personally stopped him from marrying his high school crush.
Im sure anon would be happy and satisfied in a relationship and wouldn't have anything else in the world to struggle or worry about.

Could you say that the Knight of Faith is an individual that goes "beyond good and evil"?

I've been trying to figure out the same thing (how to be slightly less of a depressed freak, at least to be one with a good outlook on life and sense of inner-love) for myself for the last couple of years now. I'm only beginning to read him but I think pic rel could help you on the path forward. Perhaps together we can make the first steps into the forest of his thought. I can also recommend Stoner to you. Some think it's a depressing novel but I think the opposite, really. Stoner is a far more successful person than me. If I could achieve even just a fraction of what he did I think it'd be all for the better.

I like your image too by the way. It's a shame Peter Steele was swept away from this world so soon.

>just le turn of your le brain and don’t think about it xDDDDD

Why is this literal Bible thumping retard (as in literally this is philosophy summarised stripped of all the romanticism sentiment) still taught in philosophy departments? Because of his influence on Sartre? That’s my only guess.

Literally proving my belief that religious people are psychotic and stupid

> A human being is spirit. But what is spirit? Spirit is the self. But what is the self? The self is a relation that relates itself to itself or is the relation's relating itself to itself in the relation; the self is not the relation but is the relation's relating itself to itself.
What did Søren Kierkegaard mean by this?

>Let others complain that the age is wicked. My complaint is that it is paltry — for it lacks passion. Men's thoughts are thin and flimsy like lace, they are themselves pitiable like the lacemakers. The thoughts of their hearts are too paltry to be sinful. For a worm it might be regarded as a sin to harbor such thoughts, but not for a being made in the image of God. Their lusts are dull and sluggish, their passions sleepy. This is the reason my soul always turns back to the Old Testament and to Shakespeare. I feel that those who speak there are at least human beings — they hate, they love, they murder their enemies, and curse their descendants throughout all generations, they sin.

What would you give a curious someone who knows nothing about Christianity, and is from an atheist home?

I know everyone raves about C.S. Lewis' "mere Christianity", but that seems like a stupid book. Anything better out there? Something that just gives a very general overview of the story, the beliefs, the basic doctrines, and the practices.
