There is no end to "what you could have done" in your youth. There will always be some guy with some story that trumps the last guy. This is what I love about Zizek Lacan Girard. The next point would be a complete receding from all foreign countries and an entire 20 year policy of apologizing for whatever military funding is not correlated to military defense as much as offenses.
