What goober wants to study "history" broadly, and not the history of specific places or things? Seems like kinda a redundant list desu

There is some good stuff but the book lacks focus. One section he'll be presenting an interesting genealogy of state formation and then go on a non-sequitur about how hot air turns people into niggers and makes them want to shuck and jive.
One gets the feeling that Kahldun is promoted as a backlash against western dominated curriculums to say that actually Muslims invented economics and sociology. But for every diamond in Kahldun there's a lot of rough. To me reads like a lesser Montesquieu.
