Let's assume that landlords don't need people to handle administrative work, accountants to handle taxes, and lawyers to make sure building codes, and permits are up to date.

If we say that one only needs to provide capital to build apartments, that still means they're doing you a service by saving you all those years of hard work so you can focus on posting on 4chan. "Passive income" is a misleading term. It just means you get to set your own schedule.
