I work 40 hours a week but I drive to work an hour early and sit in my office and read a short story and at lunch I read part of the novel I'm reading. Improve your space at home to have a good chair to sit away from other forms of entertainment and where you won't fall asleep like a sofa or bed. Maybe get used to active reading with a pencil which is more engaging, harder to zone out. Also get stimulated with some stretches, light exercise, water or maybe just drink a cup of coffee or tea.

How many of you still work a job and also write? I've heard plenty of advice to quit and go full-in on writing but I think it's too risky. If I can do good at all in the next 3-5 years I might consider full-time writing though. If so what does it look like for you
>daily routine and work from 8-5
>read for an hour in my lunch break
>take care of stuff at home and then write for 5 hours on weekdays
>weekends is same but I replace work with writing and the evening with reading
