Most literature you see in bookstores is brainlet self-help tier garbage... but the irony is that the bullshit you guys love is on the same level. "revolt against the modern world" has to be one of the silliest, scatterbrained, non-sensical books I've ever read. It's garbage, only about 30 pages within the whole book are worth reading. It oscillates between some dumb theory that he proposes and cherry picked "evidence" that "proves" his thesis. However, his "proof" is one singular event within the history of humanity, and he thinks that's sufficient. For every "proof" you could find 50 counter arguments. Do you idiots understand how complex and diverse human history is? You can literally find examples of anything you want.

Don't even get me started on Mishima. This is pseudo intellectual bullshit at the height of it's power. It's like if you took the writings of a butthurt trust fund baby who was angry that America cucked Japan, and fused his works with the twilight series. His work is a DIRECT response to America's extreme cucking of Japan, not "muh people's spirit" you fag. Japan viewed the emperor as a living god, literally, and American troops paraded him around like a dog and forced him to fraternize with peasants and homeless people. This is just one of many obscene humiliations that Japan had to face post ww2 surrender. Japan's "spirit" is constant warring with China throughout time and history with Korea getting butt fucked by both Japan and China constantly, don't read too much into just any bullshit that is shoveled into your tiny brain. There is much Japanese art, history, and culture that is important but Mishima wasn't tapping into any of that sort of "spirit", he was just a "make japan great again" turbo faggot.
