The 30 year old Boomers never seem to share their fond memories of back when granma was still alive and baked cookies or how they went out on picnics with their families. It's always about feelings of longing for CORPORATE PRODUCTS.

They feel nostalgic for a time when they were still kids and had hopes and dreams and shit. Now they are aging 30 year olds with nothing to show for themselves.
It just so happened that they CONSOOMED those PRODUCTS during that period of their so they associate those PRODUCTS to pleasant feelings of optimism and hope, ignoring any flaws (they definitely have them btw) and insisting that they are superior to the entire PRODUCT output of today (wrong too btw).
Also, as other anons have said, time is the greatest filter.
Genius is recognized posthumously because its ahead of its time.
The classics of today are flying under the radar or even disparaged but will be appreciated in the future.

Exact opposite, OP. If you can't hack it in STEM, stick to the humanities. At least, if you have some STEM experience you can be aware of how it affects people. STEMlords don't care about philosophy or any of that bullshit in general. Look at how many inventions by STEMlords are now running lose. They don't bother asking questions about how said invention alters people until the effects are felt, but by that time, it's far too late.

The elephant in the room is that years ago /pol/ attracted a new breed of normalfag and now they have thoroughly entrenched themselves into every part of the site. They ruined 4chan, worse than the likes of chanology did back in '08, at least they were a creative bunch.
