Your stance on these two and Bertrand Russell's criticism?

Here's an interesting post from a quora thread

>Permit me to re-string the bow. I presume you are looking for insights into Bertie's (his nickname) character that would explain what you say are Bertie's unjust accusations against Nietzche's philosophy. Bertie was a pacifist and anti-nuclear and believed that his words on the matter brought the US and the Soviet Union to agree on the Test Ban Treaty even though he was holed up in a cottage in Wales and his "demands" were swallowed up in the howling winds. He wrote flawless first drafts which meant he had a habit of never bothering to check his work for consistency. In other words, he wrote too much off the cuff and its content many times betrayed his moment's passion. At the time of the writing his History of Western Philosophy, he had done scholarly research on Leibniz and it shows because the chapter on Leibniz is enlightening to this day. But his scholarship on other philosophers is disgracefully and shamelessly shoddy and amazingly unreliable. Bertie's History, is readable because it's not really a historical work at all but rather an evocation of his preferences and biases. Unfortunately, for all his literary fluency, Bertie was a failed philosopher and the most he accomplished as a mathematician is providing us with a formalism which requires at least 450 pages of close notation before reaching '2 + 2 = 4'. Extraordinary rigour in the service of triviality is NOT what philosophy is about. So imagine poor Bertie stumbling on Nietczhe's work which asks the reader to enter entire worlds where Bertie cannot even dare tread. Of course Bertie must banish Nietczhe from the Pantheon! But it's vain and way too late.

>Nietczhe had announced his own era, his own birth and pronounced the death of whole areas of the trivial philosophy which Bertie would be born into and become very much a part of. Even though Nietzche would suffer both indignities and castigation during his life while Bertie was held in great esteem, Nietzche was by far the greater philosopher. Nietzche sussed out substantial substances, Bertie found a few methodologies and then became a polemicist of journalistic rank.
