Listen, the whole edifice of these books are not instruction manuals to the end goal. They are, with some exceptions, reference and codifying texts. The entire aim is using them as reference for the next step of speaking the language of symbols intuitively. Anything else is just distraction and being led astray.
Have you sought out your talents? Do you fast on holy days? Have you written everything you have studied down in an expansive library of text?
Speaking not of Christianity, but Hermeticism, it is a sage's religion. It is lonely in the first part, and in that part you must develop the ability to stand on your own feel. Even moreso, it needs faith, the specific, winnowing call that you have a place in it's study.

But that's not at all how this worked out. It culminated in Christianity which more or less got rid of those evils. The abolition of slavery alone was a miracle. Darwinism seems like the furthest thing from what Christianity has created. Violence isn't what is celebrated, it's justice and sacrifice and the highest in the kingdom to come are those who suffered. You just take a snapshot of a particular historical circumstance without observing the progression since God entered the stage so to speak (who is often portrayed as almost frustrated by human action). You could do that if the motivations of the reformers that brought us here weren't explicitly biblical but they were.

To think Saturn is evil is a misunderstanding, but not too inaccurate. Do we consider nature evil? There is beauty in it, yes, but what of the lamprey, the botfly, the wasp which paralyzes a caterpillar to lay eggs in a soft body? Running tempests, earthquakes, the keening of a mother holding her child dead from malaria or starvation. The body ground down under the weight of time, the mind giving way to dementia because a mylar sheet in the brain decayed. Shockwaves from artillery rupturing men's lungs, a bullet tumbling in and out of soft meat and leaving gore in it's wake. These acts all hold symbolism, and in abstract could be moralized, but the sheer physical mechanisms of death and decay, the interaction of molecules which utterly disregard the nonmaterial, save for some cases, this has no inherent mortality. Saturn lies there, and in the lessons we learn from the world that do not kill us. Do not consider Saturn evil, but regard it as though it were.
