Badass faculty. Get to watch Dan Dennett putter about and several of my professors (not an art student) have had their work in the MoMA. The SJW stuff has reached a hilarious extreme, especially when it clashes with the Hillel foundation and the campus media is nothing but claims of chauvinism on one side and anti-semitism on the other. I get to run around to other campuses and fuck girls from Harvard and MIT because the guys there who aren't athletes are huge betas. Don't even get me started on Welleslely girls.

Which uni? Davidson? Washington and Lee? Sewanee? I'm from the South but went to pic related. You haven't fucked up. Freshman year there are three things you need to do: crush your courses so you start with a high GPA; join organizations you're interested in and network aggressively through every clique you come into contact with; have a little fun, develop your ability to balance productivity and hedonism but really do balance them.

I used to take a class right across from his office. He'd show up at the same time every day to pick up his mail and then walk right back out. He teaches seminars, but they're in the wee hours of the morning on weekends and shit like that. From what I hear, he is pretty in love with himself, but the thing is, it doesn't matter. Dan Dennett cares not one iota what anon on /lit/ thinks about him because he's too busy running a major research unit and writing bestselling books without bothering to hide his pretensions. He could walk around with his wang out and Tufts would just hire someone to try to cover it up and apologize for him because he's a golden goose as research and publications go.

Tufts. Literary community largely a shit because most people who liked to write were either SJW mouthpieces or girls more focused on breaking into journalism than creating art. I had some great professors for sure, but couldn't tell the difference in taste between STEM kids who liked to read and the average English major.

Of course I'm gonna get shit on for saying it's similarly ranked, but whatever, we're the same size and have very similar student body composition to Ivies with what's in practical terms a hair's difference in selectivity.

Honest truth, Tufts is hard as dick if you push yourself with your course selections. Not MIT hard, but every semester was a marathon for me that I needed a good two weeks to recover from. In the end I did learn a lot, and met some amazing people, but I was on the verge of dropping out all the time. National Merit Scholar, fair haired boy in high school, so I'm not some retarded donor's child.

I recommend it if you want a challenge. You'd better be open to non Ivies because I don't think many ivies take double digit numbers of transfer students. If you want smaller schools regarded almost as well as the ivies (Amherst and Williams are compared only to Harvard, Yale and Princeton in "prestige"), try the NESCAC.
