I liked Three Body, but Dark Forest dragged on and on for me. Didn’t have the same personal struggles or level of political intrigue that the first book had, and when you find out the “twist” it’s way too late because you’re already bored and the “twist” isn’t dramatic enough to restore excitement in the story.
I literally just finished Blindsight the other day and loved it. Peter Watts is a fantastic writer, even if some of his subject matter is questionable. I also enjoyed his short story The Island and am reading Maelstrom right now.
