Name one book that has a female protag who is eager to please a male love interest.

The only one I can think of is Eponine from Les Miserables (and it wasn't very good).

In most books I find the female protag is the bane and source of all problems for the male protag's life.

Why do books have to always being about conflict. Why can't any ever write a fucken book that's about happy things.
