What are /lit/'s thoughts on war novels, science fiction or otherwise? Though I'm digging Haldeman from the first few chapters so far, I've yet to find anything on a non-fictitious conflict very interesting save Hemmingway.

Just read it, and yes, I have read allot of scifi but none of the 'classics' which I am revisiting.

I love the concepts of this and ender's games' relative time dilations. are their any other titles that explore this?

Little over half way done with it right now. Just wanted to say it's a really good read so far.

I'm at the part where Mandella is on his way back to Earth, after 17 years away.

Any other good sci-fi war books out there? I know of Starship Troopers, Enders Game, and Old Man's War (Which I haven't read yet, but I hear its exactly like this book)

Just finished reading this, /lit/. Thought it was slow and dry in the beginning, but it really picked up and got interesting in the end. Are the sequels worth reading?

Fuck that was awesome. I thank the guy here that recommended it to me.

If you are currently looking for a book to read, go read it. Nowadays I seldom devour a book in one sitting but this one only took me 4 hours and I was left a shivering pile of admiration.

Read it.

I ran this by /tv/ but they're illiterate. So, Ridley Scott is going to direct the adaptation of The Forever War. Best news.
