What are some other lit deaths that were not the actions of sorrow or depression?

Mishima's approach was more realistic. He romanticized old Japan and wars but knew himself that he was a dying breed and that you can't turn back the wheel of time. What would even be the point? So humans can live another couple hundreds of years before once again inevitably becoming more advanced? You can delay the inevitable but not forever

People tend to make fun of Mishima, likening him to a lunatic who failed, but hear this: His life's calling was infinitely better than some 9-5 wageslave schmuck, or a NEET rotting in his mom's basement. The weakness of modern society raised a question, and he answered it with his life.
I admire him with my whole heart.
