Still reading Elizabeth I's biography. I think the whole idea of courtly love is bizarre. The guy fawns over a girl--praising her, writing her love letters, and prostrating himself before her, meanwhile she endlessly denies his advances. It's all foreplay but no sex. The queen would do this with many of the men in her court. If the courtship led to sex or marriage then I could understand it, but this bitch Elizabeth just cock teases everyone.
