It's getting increasingly difficult to describe. At first, out of what I assume was a state of boredom, I was set to write a Lovecraft-esque short story about an occult group within the Midwest area. However, I went balls deep into worldbuilding, with a few examples being researching medieval alchemical works, constructing symbols in a sort of automatic writing trance, utilizing strange imagery from recent dreams, and applying numerological symbolism throughout the writing. I am now unsure if I am still creating a fictional story or creating an entirely new system of faith, and I am beginning to perceive metaphysical truths through the lens of my own story.
