Second last pass done on this scifi short story, setup for the novel. I think I can finish it tonight and submit. I don't really get too much into the characters but I don't really have time to. It's really just to explore an idea.

Haha y-yeah me too. Definitely didn't restart my manuscript from page 1 today. Definitely have way more than 400 words.

I am a professional content writer and I also write creatively for fun. I put out, on average, 1-5k words of professional and creative copy daily. My fingers and joints have become extremely sensitive to the point where it causes me physical pain to type. Some days I can't type at all. It feels like I'm typing on broken bones.

If I can't type, I can't do my job. Hell, most skilled professions these days require rigorous use of the keyboard, and some days I can barely manage to type more than a few hundred words.

Learn to do something else. Don't say "I want to be a writer for a living," because if you hurt yourself you won't be able to perform your craft. Even a paper cut on the finger can slow you down. Be careful.
