That's that irony of rebellion as fashion -- if those rebellious ideas succeed, then they become the mainstream. It's the same irony as the Chinese government calling modern revolutionaries "anti-revolutionary".
All those rebellious Western movements from the 1960s onward were simply too successful in transposing their ideas into society. Modern perverts are a thousand times more sexual than anyone in the 1960s sex revolution, but we don't consider them rebellious because they represent the norm, and they only became the norm because of the success of the 1960s sex revolution.

The craziest part is that, now, it's the reactionaries and the so-called "traditionalists" that are rebelling against the modern western traditions of sexual perversion and hedonism. The reactionaries and religious fundamentalists are now the true rebels against the current order.
