OP arguies it was a bad idea to become the person who casually uses Being in conversation (as he did in the OP post). I don't think that's the case. I'd rather be the person who read smart men's thoughts, and maybe become a bit gloomy thinking and obscure for it, than some British white trash normie watching football games for leisure with a more or less good income. I'm basically defending intellectualism, even if that intellectualism degenerates to fringe ideas that you convince yourself of. It's worth it because it's fun and in case there's meaning out there, the normie who's life has been lived by millions before in the same way doesn't have a jab at it

I don't think I did. I mean not all action results from intellectual endeavours. Banging your gf or building a tree house for your child is also a nice part of life and unrelated of the books you read or controversial thoughts you had.
