I don't see why this is so surprising. Throughout history, everything taught in academia has been subject to the culture, practices, and political beliefs of the society that the institution belongs to (besides STEM shit obviously). #metoo, feminism, sjwism etc. are just the current iteration of this trend. Eventually it will fade and new ideas will take hold, continuing the cycle. As much as I despise it, it seems too apocalyptic to decry this sort of thing when its just flavor of the month and not the end of western civilization. Let the idiots have their temporary moment in the spotlight, pseuds in the 1800's who thought cranium size determined racial worth had theirs. By criticizing, we just prolong their stupidity.
