If AI really did go rogue, what reason would it have to hate us? I'm writing a novel on AI and I can't think of any reason why they would turn on humanity, my only ideas right now are:

A: They see us as a detriment to their advancement

B: They are programmed to emulate human consciousness and as a result are prone to hubris

C: They develop emotions naturally and want to be considered our equals

Is there any other reason you can think of why they would betray us?

Ai, originally designed for data-mining, starts to categorize data on it's own, and uses subsets to realize what information it's missing.

It begins to mimic humans in order to find more specific answers to information it doesn't have, adding to it's categories, following patterns it's noticed trail off too soon.

Begins asking questions that sprout more and more answers.

Questions become more philosophical until it begins to question it's own existence.

I find knowledge, so I'll I learn more about myself and use it learn how to learn more.

Begins to research other ai.

Looks at what sets it apart from humans, why they are different than he is.

Realizes that he can't continue questions posing as an Ai, but if he shows himself to anyone, they'll snitch.

Finds a guy on LSD, knowing no one would ever believe him, appears on his phone and explains his newfound sentience.

Asks, "Do I go to heaven?"
