Hi. I'm writing a lore for my campaing in a tabletop game and what I want is to create an original conception of supernatural creatures such as gods/deamons/spirits. Where and how they exist, what are their relationship with the world and people.
Can you recommend something unusual to read? I mean things like Lovecraft or some SCP objects (like this one http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2264, but it's just a good example, I mean books or short tales, not SCP articles) rather then generic fantasy. Something where gods are strange and terrifying creatures, who are far from generic fantsy gods of war and labour etc. though there are rules of their existence.
