What makes a story be heavily discussed for decades or centuries.

I mean, beyond literature.

Why people still have autistic debates over shit like FFVI vs FFVII story.
Or evangelion.
Or Star trek.
Or Tolkien.
Or shakespeare, if we keep it literature.

Like how do you write a story that has things that are open to interpretation and can cause bibliographical almost theological debates, like how christians argue about the bible.

Like, I should just make like characters heavily drink their political beliefs from philosophical almost eternal debates, like abortion, morality, god vs atheism, modernity vs tradition, peace vs war, cuckholding betrayal, liberals vs conservatives????

How do I write about things I’ve never experienced?
