In the 24 hour news cycle, it's impossible to stay informed while fact checking to stay unbiased. As you are comparing different news sources to get the truth on one matter, something else happens elsewhere later. By the time you've formed an unbiased and well informed opinion on that one matter after spending hours maybe days, nobody cares about it anymore. It's old news, and they are now talking about this new thing that happened. Fact checking is ultimately a fool's errand.

I tend to have trouble understanding characters' motivations and need several readings of their dialogue to even come close to having a discernible idea of what their deal is. Do I have autism?

Instead of trying to seize the means of production the goal is to manipulate the culture of borgeoise society to destroy it from within by dismantling, destroying, and dividing their mechanisms of cohesion which can be anything from ethics to practical understanding of the world (just think of all the people taking gender studies degrees).
