They always release at night, you silly geese.

>> No.1090766

I'm fucking burned out on reading today, but a quick skim shows it to be much more readable, very simplistically attractive.

I just find myself wishing you'd use a serifed font for the actual works and not just the front-matter. If anything, the titles and headings should be sans-serif, and the actual material should be serifed. It's much easier on the eyes that way.

We have a new graphic artist on the team, the tilt towards simplicity and functionality was his idea.

I think it looks quite nice

We have agreed it is necessary at this point to start expanding our reach a little bit. Our steady stream of submissions is starting to trickle a bit.

I'm not implying anything. I'm being absolutely serious.

Speaking of seriousness, I can never bring myself to read this because it seems like nobody takes it seriously. I get that this is 4chan, but this is also supposed to be fucking literature, and people posting under the name Henry Jimothy Glockenshpiel IV kind of sinks my literary boner into the ground.

this. there's a reason all the books on your shelf are in serif.

if you're paranoid about using Georgia or Times or Helvetica, there are a ton of free fonts out there to use. a site i had recommended to me recently is fontsquirrel.com.

i'm glad you have a graphic artist on the team now, but not glad you didn't implement the suggested layouts i posted in the last release thread. why, pray tell, not?

>> No.1090851

What is the magazine about? What kinds of articles are in it? Is it just book reviews?

>i'm glad you have a graphic artist on the team now, but not glad you didn't implement the suggested layouts i posted in the last release thread. why, pray tell, not?

I'll give you a completely honest reason why:
We ran out of time. Literally.

I work at a school, and the elementary kids come tomorrow. I have been completely swamped with work and have not had sufficient time to devote to doing proper layout and actually improving the overall structure. Now that we have some more help on board, it's something I hope to address, but this month has been hell for me getting anything done non-job related.

Also, as you may have noticed, this is our smallest issue yet - there isn't really enough content to make it truly shine right now. I really hope we can drum up some more submissions.

>> No.1090871

>>1090861

a perfectly legitimate excuse. my studio's been very busy this month too; must be something in the water.

i was under the impression that in the past you were drowning in submissions. what happened?

But hey, October is coming, what about you guys to a halloween edition?

>> No.1091189

Guys btw, the author of Iteration isn't Penderecki (derp), it's me, as the cover points out. It should be fixed soon anyways, it's just to avoid confusion.

Also I'm the designer of the magazine now. Questions, suggestions, etc, you can address them to me. Or whatever.
