Measuring the monetary value of their assets is pointless, their wealth, as far as society is concerned, is infinite. Do you seriously believe that there's a quantifiable difference in what processes you can influence with 500 billion versus 550 billion? At that level of power wealth becomes background noise, whether some institution is technically wealthier than some family or vice versa is absolutely irrelevant.

The previous guys argument is literally that the Rothschild's control the world because they hold $2t of assets. Power doesn't not directly correlate with wealth, relatively non-wealthy people (compared to the Rothschilds) have had more power (Dick Cheney for instance) and said wealth tended to flow following the power rather than the other way around. Gates and Musk comparatively have very little power where it matters.

There isn't one organisation that ultimately rules the world, everybody is trying to influence it one way or the other. When it comes to the elites there are people on both sides of the decision and even with lots of power things still don't go their way. You only have to look at Brexit or Trump to see the reality of it (I know they are trying to stop it but still), these are very bad for the Rothschilds and other elites but still that's how it goes.
