Its find to notice or percieve a trend and want to look into the information surrounding it, but you should look for an analysis of the subject and if it comes to your idea about societal decay, so be it, you can be confident outside of your own viewpoint. Also Galactic Heros of the Universe, while not a book, deals with these themes. It’s a weird feeling watching that show, all the time hoping for a military coup to overthrow the corrupt democracy, and realizing you want the same thing to happen here. I don’t think America will survive the century. For all our sakes, I hope it doesn’t.
