Gj Fren! I stuck to 20-25 books for my first 3 years of reading. This year it will be 35, and next hopefully 52. We're all gonna make it.

My goal was 50, I don't think I will reach the goal. I've read 38 and I'll be very fucking busy until Christmas.

I'm hoping to read a few more. I'm currently reading The Portrait (Joyce) and Leaves of Grass (Whitman).

it literally took me a year to read Lolita

>> No.14264169

>>14264143
The problem isn't that you're a slow reader, it's that you just don't read. I'm a slow reader and I'm at a 120 books this year and this is because I read all day long. Don't act like the fact that it took you a year to read a 300 page book is just some weird quirk that's out of your control. You read less than 1 page per day because you're retarded and you had no idea what was going on by the time you got to the end of the book because your working memory will not stretch that far back in time. You effectively haven't read anything.

Tf? How can you be so slow? I'm painfully slow but books like Lolita at 300-400 pages are perfect for me because I can finish them in a week with one sitting per day.

I started reading this year again for the first time since high school assigned books (well, I did read VNs in the meanwhile, but no "actual books").

First book I started on the 20th of June so this is about 5 months now, pretty satisfied. Many of them are shorter books I know, but it's not a bad result I think. Next year I'm gonna gun for 30 since I will start from January but I also wanna try reading more longer books.
