How to be flawlessly cunning about a particular subject so I can instantly handle any possible questions, arguments, strawmans about it? Do I just read as many books as I can concerning that subject?

>> No.14312826

It's like anything else, there's always going to be someone more versed in a subject than you are.

And then there's the whole playing chess with a pigeon situation you will run into a lot.

If your goal is to BTFO people about a certain subject, don't bother.

This. You have to love something to live it, and you need to live it to master it.
Learning is for the dumb, experience trumps all.

Have to agree with this. If your goal is just to never have egg on your face or never be in a situation where you have to say that you just don't know, you can forget all about it. People like that get tripped up all the time and then turn into huge babies because they can't stand the hit to their ego.

Become knowledgeable in something in order to do so me good. Don't become knowledgeable just to peacock and be an all-around arrogant shit nobody likes.

One day you'll realise it isn't cope at all, it's the exact opposite of cope. Ageing is the most horrible thing you can imagine. Enjoy being young while it lasts, I earnestly mean this, do everything you can to enjoy it. It's gone so fast.
