Just finished pic related. Decided to watch some online reviews and I was astounded that none of them could interpret the book past the level of early highschool: they were all confused that the main character or narrative were 'boring', or that there was too much 'meaningless sex'.

Anyway, what does /lit/ think of this book? I don't really have a coherent thematic interpretation of the entire thing, so I'm interested to know if y'all do.
