What do I need to read before reading the existentialist and nihilists? I don't care for all the shit between the Greeks and 1700s. Can you give me an intro to existentialism/nihilism reading list?

Start with sartres nausea and camus stranger. Then broaden yourself with Heidegger, and kierkegaard. You can try existentialist cafe, it's pretty good place to start.

Drink enough alcohol to get your IQ well below 90 (if you're not already there) and you're good to go m8 DESU there aren't any real reqs. If you want to be a bit more rigorous, get yourself acquainted with the ancients (Plato and Aristotle) + the Christians (e.g. Augustine), and early moderns (Descartes, Spinoza, etc.) with either a college-level textbook or some online resource like Stanford and then you can take on Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, etc. The big takeaway is that the enlightenment led people to distance themselves from religion, thus creating a need for existentialism, so understanding that context is helpful.

What I don't understand about egoists and nihilists and stuff is that there is a huge intersection with communism and anarcho syndicalism. How does that make sense? These ideologies are dichotomous.
