Why is he convinced that the "primitive man" was happy just living a basic life? Is there any evidence of that claim? For example, Schopenhauer writes:

>“Human life must be some kind of mistake. The truth of this will be sufficiently obvious if we only remember that man is a compound of needs and necessities hard to satisfy; and that even when they are satisfied, all he obtains is a state of painlessness, where nothing remains to him but abandonment to boredom. This is direct proof that existence has no real value in itself; for what is boredom but the feeling of the emptiness of life? If life—the craving for which is the very essence of our being—were possessed of any positive intrinsic value, there would be no such thing as boredom at all: mere existence would satisfy us in itself, and we should want for nothing.”

Ted doesn't touch on this topic at all. Is he actually just a midwit reactionary that shouldn't be taken too seriously?

Because empirically they were. Go out and talk to Amish, they're far happier than you are.

The Amish are all LARPers. They have cellphones and go to hospitals if they get sick.

He wasn't. Too busy shitting on his pants running from whatever nature was throwing at him at the moment. People are crazy to take those things too seriously. If things aren't that bright now, they were even worse before.

Absolutely. His writings are entirely fallacious, moralizing nonsense that seems to stem entirely from his individual neuroses and emotional fragility. He should try reading Hume some time.

Anyone whose ideal system is one that directly led to the current system is a moron. Anyway, Kaczynski was saved as a child by modern medicine and his entire ideology was informed by a wish that he had never been born. Instead of being honest and killing himself he decided to be delusional and kill others. Now he's rotting in a jail cell and will die without ever seeing the woods again.

Does it not though?
I feel like anyone who has gotten anywhere with some sort of meditative practice can vouch for mere existence being satisfied, when undistracted.

I dare anyone on this dumb board to prove to me that Kaczynski is anything more than a meme. We all have a good laugh at the idiots who take Eliot Rodgers' manifesto seriously, but how is taking Ted seriously any better, deep down? Ted is just a somewhat bigger pseud so he suckers in more people. As with anyone who writes a manifesto to justify killing people, everything he says was already said, more clearly and more accurately, by thinkers who came before him, ones who DIDN'T mail bombs.

You all are no different than the people who post My Twisted World on here. You can't prove me wrong.

Why? Because he experienced it himself.
Ted was not some loser he was a successful intelligent man with great future prospects, he fit the mold, he was beyond capable of prospering in modern human society.
And yet he still desired and found what he must've believed to be genuine happiness and fulfillment in a simple life outside the complexities of human society.
