I really enjoy Dan brown books, I like his corny style and silly over complex plots. I'm in the middle of Origin and i'm having so much fun! But I wish he made more books that were outside of Robert Langdons world, deception point is one of my favorite books by him I want to see him write more stuff like that.

Do you only know one insult? And a reddite one at that? Lurk more, I suppose.
Mindless entertainment is fine, I myself partake in such an activity, you dyslexic retard. It's that there is still a difference between quality popcorn and the garbage which Dan Brown peddles, which I cringe at even while drunk at 3 AM (as does anyone with an IQ above 105). Read Game of Thrones, or Witcher, or those neat detective stories that have been popular since Sherlock Holmes. That's fine. But do not pretend that they all encompass a homogenous group of "mindless entertainment". Dan Brown is shit, even as someone to read in order to relax, purely for pleasure. Liking him is a definitive sign of being mentally retarded.

The plots are as predictable as any action flick you might catch on tv on a saturday afternoon. But what makes them fun is how he weaves art and history into conspiracies which he then turns into a thriller. Though Origin probably must be commended for dropping a blackpill on unsuspecting readers.
