Voting with your feet works well enough that 95% of workers earn MORE than a minimum required by law. It would have been higher still if not for government bureaucrats consuming part of your income (they DO NOT work for free you know) and restricting business competition and growth with their regulations.

I’d strongly recommend reading Mankiw’s textbook before reading this one. While it may seem like it only defends free markets, once you realize pretty much any econ textbook does the same thing you’ll have an easier time understanding it.
